The leaders of Labour and Fianna Fail have failed to rule out entering a coalition with each other.
The comments from Joan Burton and Micheal Martin come in the wake of last night's TV debate, where Enda Kenny firmly ruled out a deal with Fianna Fáil.
Speaking during the seven-way debate moderated by RTE's Claire Byrne, Enda Kenny said he would "certainly not" form any government in which Fianna Fail were involved.
But asked to make a similar declaration this morning, Joan Burton said she was "exclusively focussed" on returning the current Fine Gael-Labour coalition - and did not discuss, or rule out, any 'Plan B' option.
Sinn Féin - the only party to have been ruled out by all three of the other major parties - has meanwhile questioned whether the coalition promises of the other parties can be believed.
