A former volunteer at St. PatrickÂ’'s Cathedral has pleaded guilty to over 50 charges of indecent and sexual assault against 14 boys between 1974 and 2013.

76-year-old Patrick OÂ’'Brien of Knocklyon Road, Templeogue in Dublin also admitted raping one of the boys during a day trip to Kildare.

Between 1983 and 1985, OÂ’'Brien abused the boy on ten occasions.
