A crash in County Donegal has claimed the lives of four young men.

It happened on a local road near Magheraroarty in Gortahork last night.

Gardaí and emergency services were called to the scene of the single vehicle crash just before 9pm.

All four men in the car died at the scene.

They are all believed to have been in their 20s.

The scene's been preserved for a technical examination and the road remains closed this morning with local diversions in place.

It's not known at this stage how the crash happened and investigations are ongoing.
