Playwright Brian Friel will be laid to rest today in Co. Donegal.
He died at his home on Friday morning at the age of 86.
Considered the greatest Irish playwright of his generation, he is best known for his play Dancing At Lughnasa - which won three Tony Awards in 1992.
Mr. Friel is survived by his wife Anne and their five children.
He'll be buried at Glenties Cemetery at 3 o'clock this afternoon.
