It's the biggest reopening since lockdown began on March 12th.

Museums, cinemas, theatres, bingo halls, galleries and other cultural outlets have also been given the green light to reopen.

Churches are other places of worship are also allowed to resume services, which many creches and childminding facilities are reopening.

Indoor gatherings will be limited to 50 people for now, while up to 200 people can gather outside.

Social distancing and other health & safety measures will remain in effect across the sectors reopening today.

Face coverings will be compulsory on public transport as capacity increases to around 50% of pre-COVID levels.

While most businesses now have permission to reopen, some will not open their doors immediately - with many cinemas holding off reopening for another few weeks.
