Half of people admit to being too afraid to order a croissant in a café because they can't pronounce it.
The study by Duolingo found 56% aren't confident in saying the word and feel embarrassed to order the iconic buttery pastry.
The language learning app says the most common pronunciations include, 'kwason', 'quakson' and 'crossant'.
