Harvey Weinstein's been charged with rape and other sex crimes - after handing himself in to a police station in New York City.
The charges relate to two separate women.
The ex-film boss has previously denied any non-consensual sex.
The former producer's also facing investigations in London and LA.
Speaking after a brief court appearance, his lawyer Benjamin Brafman says he intends to plead not guilty and he vigorously denies any criminal acts.
In a statement, New York Police Department said: "Harvey Weinstein was arrested, processed and charged with Rape, Criminal Sex Act, Sex Abuse and Sexual Misconduct for incidents involving two separate women.
"The NYPD thanks these brave survivors for their courage to come forward and seek justice."
It was widely reported he would surrender to police today, and video from US broadcasters showed Mr Weinstein arriving at a police station earlier this morning.
It follows a lengthy investigation into allegations that he sexually assaulted numerous women.
