Ibrahim Halawa's court case has been postponed after he faced his 12th mass trial in Egypt this morning.
He will now be back in court again on Sunday the 6th of March.
The 20-year-old, who is from Firhouse in Dublin, has spent his third Christmas behind bars after he was arrested in Cairo in 2013 during political protests there.
Ibrahim, along with 494 defendants, faces charges of murder and vandalism.
Sinn Fein MEP Lynn Boylan has been campaigning for his release and she says that the judicial system in Egypt is now defunct:
Meanwhile, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Charlie Flanagan TD, has expressed his concern following today's postponement.
In a statement issued moments ago Minister Flanagan said 'that despite the disappointing news, his Department remain focused on two clear objectives, to secure Ibrahim's release and to provide for his welfare while he remains in detention'.
The Minister also added that he is maintaining regular contact with Ibrahim, his family and his Egyptian legal team to provide extensive consular assistance to him.
