A 26 year old man remains in Garda custody in Co Kildare, after the death of a 37 year old man in Celbridge.

Noel Winterlitch was found with head injuries at a house in Willowbrook Park last night, but Gardai say he may have sustained the injuries on Monday.

A post mortem on the dead man has been concluded but gardai say they're not disclosing the results for operational reasons.

The man who was arrested is being detained in Leixlip.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
