Two of Ireland's top universities have slipped down the world rankings.
Trinity College Dublin has fallen from 129th to 138th in the Times Higher Education table - with UCD dropping over 50 places outside the Top 200.
UCD's President Professor Andrew Deeks has warned that Irish universities need more funding if they are to compete on the world stage.
Meanwhile, there was better news for NUI Galway which has risen into the top 300 - while UCC remains unchanged from last year.
