The Taoiseach says he has "no great regard" for opinion polls on abortion - as people often change their minds once debates begin.
Enda Kenny was defending his decision to refer the issue to a Citizens' Convention, instead of going straight to a referendum.
He's told the Dáil a convention will be set up this year, with a balance in its members across genders, locations and ages.
