Gardaí in Co Louth are appealing for witnesses after the death of a taxi driver in Dundalk.
The body of 53-year-old Martin Mulligan from Lower Point Road in Dundalk was found at Kilcurry shortly after 3 o'clock this morning.
The road remains sealed off for forensic and technical examinations - while the State Pathologist also attended the scene.
A post mortem will take place later this afternoon - and a liaison officer has been appointed to Mr Mulligan's family.
Superintendent Gerry Curley of Dundalk Garda Station says officers are particulary interested in speaking to anyone who may travelled in Mr Mulligan's silver Scoda Octavia taxi:
