A man in his 20s is in a critical condition in hospital after a serious assault in Dublin yesterday evening.
It happened in the Templebar area shortly before 9 o'clock.
At about a quarter to 9 last night a row broke out at Cow's Lane in the Templebar area of Dublin city centre.
A man in his 20s suffered serious head injuries in the incident and was taken to St. James's hospital where he remains in a critical condition this morning.
Three men have been arrested - they're being held at Pearse Street and Irishtown garda stations.
Gardai say they believe a number of witnesses filmed the event on their phones.
They're appealing to anyone with information on the assault to contact them at Pearse Street station on 01 666 9000.
