A man in his 20s has died after a crash in Dublin this morning.

The crash happened on the N7 Naas Road near Junction 2 Kingswood at around 6.20am this morning.

The driver of a 4x4 collided with a barrier. He was the only person in the vehicle.

The injured man was taken to Tallaght Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The road was closed for a Garda forensic examination, but it has since reopened.
