Fianna Fáíl would be marginally more popular than Fine Gael in the event of a sudden general election, according to a new poll.

The Behaviour & Attitudes Poll in tomorrow's Sunday Times shows Fianna Fáil on 27 per cent, just ahead of Fine Gael on 26.

Sinn Féin would be on 16 per cent with Labour back on 5 per cent, just ahead of the Greens and the triple-A-P-B-P, who each have 4.

The poll also shows Micheal Martin remains the most popular of the party leaders, with Eamon Ryan in second place.
