Enda Kenny and a series of government ministers are meeting their Northern counterparts in Armagh this morning.
The meeting of the North-South Ministerial Council will focus on issues surrounding Brexit and the future of the Irish border.
On the day of the last meeting of the North-South Ministerial Council, Enda Kenny had floated the idea of an all-island forum to deal with matters arising from Brexit.
The meeting was quickly overshadowed when First Minister Arlene Foster said she hadn’t been consulted about the idea - and had no interest in attending.
One of the reasons she gave for not doing so, was the fact that the North-South Ministerial Council already exists, as a forum to discuss issues of cross-border concern.
So today’s meeting is a rare opportunity to get ministers from both sides of the border around the same table - and try to hammer out common positions on key issues.
And with so much uncertainty surrounding how and when the UK will start the process of leaving, the governments in Dublin and Belfast could use as much agreement as possible.
