Four counties are under an orange rainfall warning today.
Waterford is under a 24-hour status warning until 9 am on Friday.
Counties Dublin, Wicklow and Louth are under a status orange warning until 3 pm on Friday, while a similar alert is in place in Co Louth until 6pm on Friday.
Met Éireann said the combination of high river levels and high tides, along with rain falling on already saturated ground will lead to localised flooding and difficult traveling conditions

Nine other counties are under a status yellow warning for heavy rain.
Counties Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Wexford, Tipperary are under a 24-hour warning until 9 am on Friday.
A similar yellow-level alert is in place in counties Cavan, Monaghan and Meath until 6 pm on Friday.
