The sparkling wine contains more sugar than its more expensive counter-part - with one teaspoon in every glass.
According to Irish Times, dentists are seeing an increase in people needing fillings as sales of the bubbly drink continue to soar.
They say Prosecco fans can reduce their risk of decay by sticking to the alcohol limits, drinking plenty of water and eating food.
