Police in Rio are to hold another press conference today after they interview two more OCI officials.

Officers are expected to reveal whether they think Kevin Kilty and Stephen Martin have any case to answer over the Olympic ticking scandal.

Last Sunday, the passports of OCI officials Dermot Henihan, Kevin Kilty and Stephen Martin were seized by police in Rio as part of their investigation.

None of the men were arrested and none of them are accused of any wrongdoing.

Mr. Henihan met with investigating officers on Tuesday and is no longer considered a suspect or person of interest.

His colleagues were given more time to speak to their lawyers are due to voluntarily attend for questioning at some stage today.

Here at home, a retired High Court judge was appointed to lead the non-statutory investigation into the controversy.

Minister for Sport Shane Ross said there will be no boundaries or limits put on Mr. Justice Carroll Moran, who’s expected to finish his work in 12 weeks.

Opposition parties have criticised the Government for not opening a full commission of investigation, but Minister Ross has asked Mr. Justice Moran to recommend whether he believes one is necessary.
