1 person is in a critical condition and a second is in a serious condition after a shooting at a shopping mall in Houston in Texas.

The gunman, believed to be a lawyer was shot dead by police at the scene. They are now investigating whether there were issues at the law firm where he worked.

Acting Police Chief Martha Montalvo told reporters a bomb disposal robot is currently being used to examine his car:

7 other people were treated for injures at a number of local hospitals
