Gardai in Ballyfermot are investigating a shooting incident which occurred on Clifden Drive in Ballyfermot at approximately 10:20pm.

A 53 year old man and a man in his early 20's received gunshot injuries and both have been taken to St. James hospital.

Their injuries are not believed to be life threatening.

The area has been sealed off for a technical examination.

Gardai in Ballyfermot are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have seen suspicious or unusual behaviour in the vicinity of Cliften Drive, Ballyfermot between 10pm and 10.30pm to contact them on 01 6667200.
