A court in Belgium has convicted two men in connection with the deaths of two Irish students in a fire in 2014.
GMIT students Sara Gibadlo and Dace Zarina lost their lives in the blaze at the Leuven Institute for Ireland in January of that year.
The fire started when a fellow student, Shane Bracken, lit a cigarette in the house.
He has received a three month suspended sentence while the owner and director of the institute - Malachy Valley - has received a one year suspended jail sentence.
Susan Keogh has been speaking to the family's lawyer, Gert Warson.
He explains how the fire started.
