A European survey has found that Irish people rate terrorism as bigger concern, than people in France and Germany do.
The Eurobarometer poll found that immigration was the biggest issue overall, with 48% of Europeans expressing concern.
39% said terrorism was their biggest worry, up 14% since the last survey.
In Ireland, 50% said terrorism was the biggest issue. In France, which has suffered a series of recent attacks, just 39% said it was their most important issue.
The Irish expressed the highest level of concern in Europe about the terrorism threat, along with Cyprus.
More than 31,000 people in 34 European countries were interviewed for the Eurobarometer survey.
