A pipe that burst outside Navan in Co Meath earlier, which has left up to 10,000 people without water, had done so before.
It burst 18 months ago flooding some local homes.
It flooded one home next to the pipe - Joan, who lives there, says this is the second time it's happened.
"We're just about a year in now from (when) it happened.
"It was a huge upheaval the last time because the water went down into the floors - it's an old house".
A new pipe has been brought in to try and restore the water supply.

The Big O pub is one of them, where they've been boiling water to make the tea.
"We couldn't really get lunch on the go because the oven doesn't work without the water for the stream.
"There's no water at all, so there's not much prospect of lunch".

Irish Water say there is some water still in the network so many may not be experiencing a full outage yet, but may have reduced pressure.
Tankers have been put on standby to replenish storage tanks in Our Lady's Hospital in Navan in case their water runs short.
