Thousands of ESB customers lost their electricity supply for around an hour tonight - after a major fire broke out at a power station in Dublin.
The ESB say they have now made safe the 220 voltage substation on Jamestown Rd in Inchicore.
Dublin Fire Brigade say six units are still battling the fire.
The blaze is understood to have started just after 7:30pm this evening - when a transformer caught fire.
The Gardai are advising residents on Kylemore Way, in Bluebell, to stay indoors and keep windows/doors shut to avoid the fumes from the fire.
A safety cordon has been put in place.
