A 26 year old Irishman has died in a car crash in Australia.

The man from Little Island in Cork was killed on Wednesday when his car went out of control and crashed.

Meanwhile, the Department of Foreign Affairs is providing consular assistance to the family of a 21 year old Irish woman who died in Spain.

The woman from Mayfield died when she fell off a balcony in Tenerife in the Canary Islands on Wednesday.

Garda Ombudsman Commissioner, Kieran Fitzgerald remains in a coma in a Spanish hospital this morning, after a fall.
