Two men have died in separate road crashes in Kilkenny and Tipperary. 

A 68 year old man died after the car he was driving was involved in a three car collision in Dangan in Thomastown just before 11 am.

Two other men were brought to St Luke's hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Around half an hour later in Tipperary, a 78 year old man died when his car struck a concrete pier at Gortnahoe, near Thurles.

He was treated at the scene but died a short time later.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses to both crashes.
