The Transport Committee will meet with representatives from Virgin Atlantic later to discuss the potential sale of the GovernmentÂ’s stake in Aer Lingus to IAG.

Members will have an opportunity to hear from the Director of Network and Alliances at Virgin Atlantic, Joe Thompson.

Mr Thompson has publically expressed Virgin Atlantic's concerns - over the IAG bid for Aer Lingus - specifically in relation to connectivity issue.

The Chairman of Committee is Fine Gael deputy John OÂ’Mahony.
