Voters with disabilities are telling the next Government they want to be included in society.
The Disable Inequality campaign says they'Â’ve never been a priority and now theyÂ’re calling for a full Minister for Disability Inclusion.
Juliette Gash reports;
Owen Collumb, seen below on the left said
“If you become disabled tomorrow, you are looking at a life imprisoned in an institution or your own home. The alternative is a society where people with disabilities are working, contributing to society, and being equal citizens. Does this seem an impossible task for the next government?"
Patrick Flanagan (above right) turns 24 next week and is living with Muscular Dystrophy. He had his Medical card taken from him by the last Government, but remains philosophical, and wouldn't rule out voting for Fine Gael and Labour on Friday.
And Aaron Abbey, below, wants a full Minister for Disability.
