A leading Irish Director says Harvey Weinstein is the first of many abusers who will now be exposed.
In a series of tweets Lenny Abrahamson says right now in Ireland powerful abusers are relying on the silence of colleagues.
His intervention comes as police investigations are launched into Harvey Weinstein on both sides of the Atlantic.
Weinstein and monsters like him are only possible if people in a position to challenge abuse choose to look the other way.

Kate Beckinsale is the latest woman to speak out against him saying she was just 17 when he invited her to his hotel room.
The British actress claims the film producer responded with anger, profanity and threats when she said no to him over several years.
Police in the UK have confirmed they're investigating an allegation of sexual assault against Weinstein - while in New York, a 2004 allegation is being re-investigated.
Emma Thompson addressed the issue on BBC Newsnight:
Meanwhile the boss of Amazon Studios has been suspended after claims he 'ignored' allegations Harvey Weinstein raped actress Rose McGowan.
Roy Price is also facing a separate harassment claim himself, while Weinstein has denied non-consensual sex.
