A woman in her thirties is in a serious condition in hospital following a multi-vehicle collision involving a Garda van in Co. Kerry.

The crash happened on the N22 Killarney to Tralee road approximately 12 kilometres from Killarney at 7.45 on Monday evening.

The women who was the sole occupant of one of the vehicles was taken to Kerry General Hospital - while the driver of a Garda van suffered minor injuries in the incident.

The Garda Síochána Ombudsman Commission is investigating the crash.
