What a job!!
The lads were hugely excited to welcome Ronin Traynor into studio this morning, to find out more about what his profession involves.
Ronin's in town to orchestrate all the fight scenes in the Macbeth play running in the Bord Gáis Energy Theatre at the moment (and runs up to and including Saturday 24th Feb 2018. Tickets still available). So it was the perfect opportunity to brush up on our techniques and get some insight into his life.
He has worked on the sets of The Lord of the Rings and Pirates of The Caribbean to name a couple, so we're talking the big leagues here.
Dermot and Dave asked him about his background, and how any budding fight coordinators can get into the industry.
The attention to detail required is insane, as he explained the difference between the stage and a movie set, and how the whole thing has to have a connection. The audience MUST believe!!
The lads also took the opportunity to learn a few moves themselves so they could finally go toe-to-toe. But who would win? Watch the short movie here.
