Just to add another blast from the past to the 2018 nostalgia wheel that's been rolling on in, Four Weddings and a Funeral is being made into a new American miniseries, with a twist:

'Four Weddings and a Funeral follows "four American friends - Maya, Craig, Ainsley, and Duffy - who reunite for a fabulous London wedding. But after a bombshell at the altar throws their lives into turmoil, they must weather a tumultuous year of romance and heartbreak. Relationships are forged and broken, political scandals exposed, London social life lampooned, love affairs ignited and doused, and of course, there are four weddings...and a funeral.'

Andie MacDowell, who originally played 'Carrie', will guest star as Mrs. Howard, Ainsley's mum, with no sign of High Grant's 'Charles' to be seen.

Mindy Kaling and Matt Warburton are writing and producing it, with original writer Richard Curtis executive producing.

No release date ha been confirmed but we've waited 24 years to have this rom-com back in our lives - so what's a few more months?
