It's true what they say, we really are creatures of habit.
Everyone has their own way of doing things; their own little quirks and routines they think are the norm.
But what happens when these dispositions starts to wander into the OCD bracket?
Dermot and Dave wanted to investigate this after receiving a message from listener Roberta.
The lads gave her a call to find out why she feels when it comes to the radio and TV, she "needs to have the number on the volume at an even number"? Sound familiar? Personally, I'm just as bad. The volume must be divisible by 2 or else my left eyeball starts to twitch.
We're not alone though, as Dave himself admitted to the vertical line on his car's volume button always having to remain at 12 o'clock. Madness!
This opened up the floodgates of weirdness as our listeners couldn't wait to tell us what they HAVE to do on a daily basis.
We had Niall who has a 'thing' about air vents in his car and van, "they have to be all level. Exactly level". Then there was Stephen, who said 'the digits on my alarm clock have to add up to 7 or multitude of 7 before I can get up'. That's a nightmare in itself. I mean math first thing in the morning? No thanks.
Stopping the petrol pump meter at a nice even number was also very popular, and we couldn't blame anyone for that plight.
But what's your little idiosyncrasy?
