Comedy fans are in for a treat when HBO's 'The Righteous Gemstones' comes to NOW TV on February 5th.

The new comedy series tells the story of a world-famous televangelist family (the Gemstones) with a long tradition of deviance, greed and charitable work.

John Goodman plays 'Dr Gemstones', with Danny McBride (Eastbound & Down, Vice Principals) playing 'Jesse' and Edi Patterson as 'Judy'.

Here's a little taster for ya:

Dermot and Dave's Dave's Moore caught up with both Danny McBride and Edi Patterson to find out how much fun it was to make, with Danny saying; "it's a lot of the same collaborators from Eastbound and Vice Principal so that comedy is very much in the DNA of the show".

Edi continues by explaining how improvisation is always welcomed throughout filming; "we just see what opens up in the moment - the truth is in the moment"

When asked if they felt using a televangelists lifestyle as the plot for the show was risky, Danny responds with this;

"the point of the show wasn't to lampoon people for their beliefs...it was more about like trying to bite off this character piece about this family that finds themselves in this position and how they exploit it"

And with a season 2 already confirmed, I cannot wait to get my holy hands on it!
