Ever wondered what life is like as a movie extra?

Well Barry Dobson has worked in the industry for over 20 years so he knows all their is to know about starring in the background. 

He took on Dermot and Dave's #AskMeAnything where he told us all about the working hours, why a "special extra" is a much more desired role and explains how the TV series Extras was a very accurate reflection of their kind of work. 

Dobson also revealed how things have changed a lot over time, saying this about being on set "20 years ago we were drinking real beer and smoking cigarettes". He remembers being "half cut" many's a time.
