You're the one that I want!

Getting your hair cut is serious business, after all, you're spending a good bit of dosh on it so you want it to look slick.

One man who knows his way around a pair of scissors is Clare-based barber Hasan Jiad, owner of Panache Hair Design in Ennis.

Hasan, who's from Iraq but has been here in Ireland for over 20 years, was recently beckoned to Dromoland Castle after a secretive phone call asked for an urgent haircut. And it wasn't just any client - it was Mr 'Danny Zuko' himself, John Travolta.

Dermot and Dave gave Mr Jiah a call to find out all about the experience.

This wonderful guy with a baseball cap just walked straight into me and he goes "Howaya doin Hasan?" and shook my hand. I thought it was one of my customers.

The two men chatted about everything and anything over the three hours they were together and even swapped numbers.

Hasan had some solid advice for Travolta, "I told him to keep it (his hair) that way. It makes him look younger and handsome altogether".

And with a trip to New York on the cards, who will be his next A-lister I wonder?
