Chic have created some timeless classics over the years, but did you know that one of their biggest hits was initially called something very different?
We all love to get our groove on to 'Le Freak' whenever it comes on, shaking our disco finger and doing the bump (among other retro 70's moves), but would it be the same if instead of "Aaaaaah, Freak Out" you heard "Aaaaaah, F*** O**"?
Well according to Dave's World, that's what it was called at first.
The story centres around founding band members Nile Rodgers and Bernard Edwards not being allowed into a club where their music was playing. The door staff wouldn't let them in so the peed-off duo went back to their apartment in New York and vented via music.
Their record label loved the track but weren't too impressed with the title. So after a bit of tampering, 'Le Freak' was born.
Dave also teaches us some Finnish and reveals how a bird of prey sound effect used in movies has been deceiving us for years. Wait until you hear what a Golden Eagle really sounds like.
