Cian Towmey is one of the biggest comedians in Ireland, racking up over 5 million followers on Facebook.

In 2016 he shot to fame when he started posting videos online, making fun of his relationship with his girlfriend Emily.

Cian went on to become one of the most famous comedians in the country, appearing on a number of TV and radio shows to promote his hilarious content, but behind the scenes he was battling with some mental health issues.

In February 2019 he tweeted "I made the decision to finally visit the doctor for social anxiety. Since getting prescribed to anti anxiety medication, I’ve been able to try all of the restaurants I’ve been too afraid to ever walk to and today I went to the cinema for the first time in 2 years. Life is good". 

Cian joined Dermot & Dave this morning to speak about he is dealing with his anxiety and also reveal how Covid-19 interrupted his plans to make his onstage comeback.
