Getting sponsorship for local teams can be a complicated task, particularly as businesses struggle through Covid.

For Bantry Basketball Club, they have been incredibly lucky with their sponsors for this year and there's one that came as a surprise to the rest of the country.

Top model and actress Emily Ratajkowski has been drafted to support the under 15s/16s team for the next season.

Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Pat Curran from Bantry Basketball Club explained that it was a quick text to her Dad that sealed the deal, how Emily has been a part of Bantry for years now and also thanked Emily, along with the other sponsors, for their support.
