For the first time since 1979, the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest won’t be hosted by the winning country.

But, in the words of Sam Ryder, ‘it’s still Ukraine’s party’.

Given the current war in Ukraine, the decision has been made to move the competition to the UK who came second in the competition.

Applications are now open for host cities with Glasgow, London and Manchester leading the charge so far.

With it all still to play for, Dermot and Dave were joined by Eurovision superfan Scott Reid who gave his take on potential locations for the big night and if it could end up on the island of Ireland.
