On this morning's Dermot and Dave, we were delighted to have Wild Youth in studio.
David Whelan (vocals/guitar), Conor O'Donohoe (piano/vocals), Ed Porter (guitar/vocals) and Callum McAdam (drums) are always in energized, but they were extra buzzing today after an amazing gig supporting The Script in The Marquee in Cork last night.
The lads chatted about what it's like playing with some of Ireland's biggest names in music and the feeling they get hearing fans sing their songs back to them.
Dermot and Dave asked them about how they got to know each other, and how the band actually came about.
They've been busting their asses over the past 2 years and it's paying off as they revealed their second headline gig in Whelan's, Dublin on September 22nd of this year.
Conor trolls his dad, they get some fan mail from 'the girls in the leather jackets' and admit that they're still "shams" behind it all. They're keeping grounded too, "We're just 4 really good mates. We try and make music every day".
Infectious as always from the four messers and we can't wait to see what's to come.
We've a video of them performing their new track 'Can't Move On' live in studio, on the way, but until then, here they are grooving it in their own leather jackets:
