And it turned out to be one that they'll Never Forget!
When it comes to boybands, or any band for that matter, Take That are definitely up there with the best this world of ours has ever witnessed.
Today, Dermot and Dave fulfilled a lifelong dream (well Dave in particular) by meeting Gary Barlow, Mark Owen and Howard Donald face-to-face for a live show from the penthouse in the Soho Hotel, London, and it totally debunked the 'you should never meet your heroes' cliché.
Confirmed: new @takethat line up. Newest members #DermotAndDave weren't sure, so sure about the dress code 😂@DermotTodayFM @DaveTodayFM pic.twitter.com/EppYrenOtc

2019 will mark 30 years since the band was formed, and to celebrate, they're releasing Odyssey, a 2 CD, 27 track album of their greatest hits, some of which have been re-imagined.
Chatting about the concept on Today FM's Dermot and Dave, Gary says it was difficult to master for, "the one thing we always try and do for our audiences is to give them something that's new and fresh".
With the help of producer Stewart Price (who they have worked with previously), they were able to take "bits of the old and mix it with more modern productions", creating some beautiful arrangements.
Gary then revealed how they decided to, "do something more than just put out song after song" - so they have dotted audio clips from various tours and interviews over the years, throughout, to help make a connection, "we wanted to make it sound like one piece of music rather than lots of little ones", he added.
Dave Moore fanboyed like never before. We hadn't a clue he was such an admirer until we spotted this on twitter:
Dave's had this @takethat shirt since 1996, his BFF bought it for him to console him when the band split, and today @DaveTodayFM will finally get it signed. Full circle moment lads.

There was also time to get some listener's questions in during a very special edition of #AskMeAnything
The Odyssey collection is out November 23rd, with their 28-date UK arena tour kicking off next April.
It's amazing to think that after three decades, the Take That lads are still so grounded, sound and such a breath of fresh air. 100% heroes in our books.
