No matter what type of role you are in, your job is going to put a certain amount of pressure on you - that's why it's called 'work'.
But if you find yourself being weighed down by the workload, then it's time to make a change and address any underlying issues.
As discussed by careers coach Lorraine Murphy on Dermot and Dave, there are both positive and negative stresses, but it's up to us as individuals, and as team members, to try and create a balance.
Lorraine starts with the question, "How you are managing yourself within the workplace in your focus and productivity on what you're getting done?".
She also feels we need to "have a cut-off" so that your "home life is separate to your work life". Headspace is key.
In Lorraine's experience, she has found 2 main stressers:
- Lack of clarity in roles
and
- Poor communication internally between organisations
The coach also taught us how to identify stress triggers and told us why productivity analysis is super important, "before you start the day is the time to sit down and start planning".
Realistic deadlines should also be set in place in order to give you the time you need.

Every Monday, we dedicate a section of the show called Mind Yourself Now to help our listeners with their body, soul and mind.
