The quote above hits the nail on the head when it comes to this kid; No.3 in the Enduro World Series, Greg Callaghan.
The 26-year-old extreme sports star is from Rathfarnham, Co.Dublin, and now competes in the top tier of the discipline after a steady rise to success. Who knew it would be so good to go downhill?
Adrenaline flows through his veins as he comes from a family of cyclists and bikers. He was racing motorbikes since the age of 8 and has a real need for speed when it comes to anything fast paced.
It wasn't all handed to him though, no, not by any means. As little as three years ago the Dubliner was living from a van and fundraising his own races whilst holding down a regular job to pursue his dream.
Imagine, he was working 8 hours a day and still squeezing in two training sessions on top of that?? Absolute dedication to his passion!
He now has full sponsorship from some huge brands, which allows him to train six days a week and focus on getting to that elusive No.1 spot.
He popped in for a chat with Dermot and Dave this morning, and told us all about his journey.
We're backing you 100% buddy. Here's to a massive 2018 for ya!
