The Irish National Lacrosse Team recently had a massive decision to make. Go to a massive international tournament, or be the soundest sports team in the world.

And in true Irish fashion, they chose to be sound, and now they're being internationally recognised for their extraordinary display of sportsmanship.

It all stems from their decision to not attend the sports International World Games in the summer of 2022 to make way for another team who the lacrosse community felt should be there instead.

The Iroquois Nationals are to lacrosse like the Irish are to hurling, and while they were technically ruled out, Ireland's decision to step aside means that they will get to participate in the sport they love so much.

Now, the Irish team are being commended on the international stage with a Musial Award and CEO of Lacrosse Ireland, Micheal Kennedy joined Dermot and Dave with details on what that means for them.
