The '4-Day Week Ireland' group has joined an international campaign for a four-day working week.

Ah the elusive four-day week. We've all had romantic notions of this blissful system at some point in our lives, right? But is it really all it's made out to be?

With Ireland hoping to follow in the British Labour Party's footsteps and campaign for a shorter working week inside the next decade, Dermot and Dave wanted to hear from an Irish business that is trialling the elusive policy.

Since July 1st, the ICE Group, a recruitment and training company in Galway, have adopted this new approach and are testing it until the start of the new year;

We are on a 6 month trial at the moment to tease out the different knots and the challenges so that we can make a final decision at the end of December

Ice Group Director Margaret Cox guides us through the process of creating a "three-day weekend", as she puts it, and states that the key to its success is the business remaining open 5 days a week;

We don't all work the same 4 days

Cox also chats about the formation of a "pessimist committee" and "etiquette charter" and teaches us what they have learned over the past three months.
