Staying at home with a ‘stay at home Mum, three monosyllabic teenage boys and a pathologically cheerful, explosively hormonal pre-teen girl’ turned onto quite the year of exploration, morning scenes akin to 'Full Metal Jacket' and 'machine guns loaded with paintballs'.

David has charted his year in a new book 'Diary of a Wimpy Dad', and David recounted some of his tales to Dermot and Dave this morning.
