Accidents happen. Sure isn't that why they're called accidents?
Dermot and Dave producer Maria Devereux recently had a peculiar mishap in her local Aldi store. An incident resulting in her injuring the girl working on the til:
I panic so hard trying to keep up at the checkout in @Aldi_Ireland. Tonight, I stabbed the poor girl in the hand with my nail... I was just trying to pack as fast as she scanned. 😥 I said sorry a million times and rubbed her arm, I think that disturbed her more than the stab. 💅ðŸ»

I think we've all been caught out in the likes of Aldi and Lidl - those tiny checkout counters and the speed at which they work. They're like Jedis. But I've never caused GBH whilst buying some groceries.
Maria tells the story in full, and to her (and all our) amazement, it turns out loads of people have been scraped and maimed in the very same way.
Caller Rebecca from Tipp is a former Aldi worker, who reveals the tricks of the trade and the secret behind their lightning quick 'bleeping' skills.
Then there's Carina who had a very awkward encounter with her cashier, Aoife, who nearly took a customer's thumb off, and Mandy, who's husband nearly sliced her fingers off with some dodgy DIY.
Loads of catastrophes sent in via WhatsApp audio too.
I'm nearly afraid to hit the shops this evening.
