He's responsible for many a tear shed over the past decade on our screens as 'Supervet' and now, Noel Fitzpatrick is hoping to introduce his love of animals to a whole new generation.

The Laois man, who is best known for his Channel 4 series, has just released his first children's book 'Vetman and his Bionic Animal Clan'.

Speaking to Dermot and Dave, Noel revealed the real life inspiration behind 'Vetman' and revealed the emotional reason he took on the London Marathon with a sprained ankle earlier this year.
